Skills developed in lessons include right hand finger technics, left hand finger technic, chords, scales, strumming patterns,’ finger-style’ studies and learning well-known guitar melodies, with an emphasis on musical knowledge, accompaniment playing and ABRSM aural awareness to develop your musical abilities. sight reading, songwriting, alternate tunings and rhythm skills also play an important role in the Acoustic Guitar course.
For home practice students will need either a nylon or steel string guitar, of the appropriate size for their height, and body size.
