PSM has launched its activities in 1992 as an “Experimental Class for school Children", with 10 students, today evolved into the ''Philip’s Schools of Music'' with 200 sudents on the rolls.
After extensive, practical trials, the present PSM has succeeded in compiling its own child-friendly methods, with the objective of uncovering student's potential and fostering their talents to express themselves freely by music. today we have developed into a broad system and "an examination centre/studio for the prestigious examinations of ABRSM London" with many students and teachers at various locations in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Vizag. thousands of students have benefited from the school.

Philip S Rao
Philip S Rao, Founder & Director ''Philips Schools of Music'' is a native of Hyderabad,
Philip earned a merit grade 8 (advanced level) Certificate in music performance from Trinity College London. he is also a member of RGT london,
studied classical Guitar and Piano as a child and grew up playing in local church choirs,
While studying in Chennai & Goa, had the great opportunity to work with the various renowned musicians,
was the head of Music Department Indus International School Hyderabad, Many a time had performed / was interviewed in local & national TV channels,
was invited as guest of honour for Radio FM hyderabad, had visited countries Israel,Egypt and Jordan
he thoroughly enjoys working with children, having served as Choir Director in children's choir groups, and teaching private lessons.
Philip is very dedicated to be developing musical pedagogy at PSM, and embarking on his musical career in Hyderabad ! he is currently teaching after-school programs,
at Jubilee Hills and Gachibowli, giving lessosns in Guitar and Piano, and is currently the Director of Music Ministries for CLJC Church.
